How to get here 


From Prague airport to Ceske Budejovice 

There are two possibilities to get from Prague to Ceske Budejovice, you can use either bus or train. For the way from the Prague airport to either the Main train station or the bus terminal, you have to use bus sevice from Prague public transport (
https://www.prg.aero/en/public-transport-buses)

Yellow vending ticket machines for Prague public transport are located in the area of baggage reclaim, in the Arrival Hall and also next to bus stop outside the terminal. Buy a ticket for 32 CZK, you can pay by cash or card. You must validate the ticket as you enter the bus. The ticket is good for the journey from the airport to the bus terminal (no transfer and takes about 45 minutes) or the train station (it requires two transfers and takes also about 45 minutes).

 

1) Way from the Prague airport to the bus terminal "Na Knizeci":

Take the line 191 bus (leaves every 20 minutes) to the terminal "Na Knizeci". RegioJet company operates direct buses to Ceske Budejovice every hour (last departure at 21,00). You should buy ticket online in advance https://www.regiojet.com/

2) Way from the Prague airport to the Main train station:

Take the line 119 bus (leaves every 3-20 minutes) to the terminal "Nadrazi Veleslavin". Transfer to subway (metro) "A" line (green); direction "Skalka". At the "Muzeum" station, transfer to subway "C" line (red), and go one stop to the Main train station "Hlavni nadrazi". Ceske drahy operates direct speed and express trains to Ceske Budejovice at least every hour. You can buy ticket online in advance https://www.cd.cz/en/default.htm or directly on the Main station at the Ticket Counter.


You should find direct connections for either bus or train to Ceske Budejovice by using the 
IDOS system. The bus or train journey takes about 2-2.5 hours.

Public transportation in Ceske Budejovice (from the Main station to the University campus)

The trolley-bus stop is next to the bus terminal, and across the road from the train station. Take line number 3 directly to the campus, stop "Jihoceska Universita" (takes about 10 minutes). You will need a ticket for 16 CZK (available from yellow vending machines, you can pay by coins or contactless card), which you must validate as you enter the bus. A map of city bus lines is
